Preparing for the MCQs…
The preparation has to be section specific:
- Section I consists of 75 questions exploring a diverse range of topics – anything from a Dickens’ novel excerpt to a Calvin & Hobbes cartoon strip. There is no one method to prepare yourself for this section. However there are some guidelines: read voraciously to increase your IQ, be aware of current affairs. The world is no shoebox.
- Section III consists of 110 questions taken from Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The questions are passage based. Cramming your brain with theories you don’t understand will be sacrilege as this section tests your ability to cope with a constantly evolving scientific world.
Preparing for the Essays…
You are no Shakespeare. Well GAMSAT doesn’t expect you to be. So do not panic. Preparing well for Section I is half the battle won for Section II as well. But to specifically prepare for this section, it would be a good idea to start writing…just about anything. You can simply think up the simplest of things, maybe even a cow! It is all about fresh ideas.
