UMAT Structure new UMAT Test Format

How do I answer?

All the three sections consist of MCQs. You have to mark out the correct choices in an OMR sheet using a pencil.

What is the UMAT test like?

Section I: The MCQs are based on short passages. The passages can be anything from a newspaper report to a dialogue between a doctor and a patient. Sometimes the data may be graphically represented (graphs, tables, pie-charts). Each passage is followed by an MCQ with 4 or 5 options including the right answer.

Section II: This section has MCQs based on passages, again. But the passages are conversational in nature. This section of the UMAT test is to gauge your people skills. MCQs are based on short pieces of dialogue between people. Here, each passage is usually followed by a series of MCQs on it.

Section III: MCQs based on non-verbal reasoning…what exactly does it mean? Well, let us see an instance:

Non-verbal reasoning

Get the idea? You need to have good logical skills to answer the MCQs correctly in all of the three sections.

UMAT Test timings:
